Rugged Blade Computers
The Kontron STARVX is a rugged blade computer platform designed for high-performance embedded computing (HPEC) applications in harsh environments. It’s a modular system based on the 3U VPX technology and is tailored for military and aerospace applications.
It is designed to be highly parallel, providing a significant leap in I/O bandwidth on the backplane, reportedly up to ten times better than existing HPEC architectures. It’s built to bring supercomputing performance, previously limited to data centres, to the field.
An optimal solution for applications that require intensive parallel computing and high bandwidth, such as radar and sonar systems, electronic warfare, command and control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).
Deployed in harsh environments where traditional servers would not survive. They are qualified to operate under specific environmental conditions including thermal, shock, vibration, and humidity.
